This jorongo or full length Mexican poncho is made in Hueyapan, Puebla. The natural grey sheep wool becomes a textile through the use of the back strap loom, an ancient portable tool that embraces the weaver's waist. This piece comes in natural grey. The brown and blue colors are achieved using vegetable dyes as walnut and indigo ( indigofera tinctoria ), one of Mexico's sacred colors.
This piece is handmade.
One size. Dry clean only.
